Window Views - Old Windows? by Lew
Subject: House, Log House and Windows
Even windows have its own characteristic trait, mainly that of the owner, the designer, the carpenter, the builder and the engineer. Above all, regardless of its shape and make, it's up to the dweller to make it long lasting and welcomely.

To keep sanity healthy, some "alone time" is necessary in benefit to one's healthy survival. And what makes it more significant is when you spend it somewhere close to your heart. Like for instance in these pictures that you shared with us.
When your psyche is impregnated with your own peaceful accord among nature, you become unmindful of external forces but your own. And you wander off in your own world fused in spiritual contentment. Not sure if this is the correct word affixed to the 'spiritual'.

Thanks BR! I always give credit what is due to Ceasar. I would dearly mention your name as the great Creator of this piece.
You're so brilliant!
I wonder if you could put music to my poem: Golden Pond?
Say, a collaboration between us?
I do prefer sweet, mellow, romantic and nostalgic ....kind of longing and envisioning what life would be like when that day comes. :)
Will be indebted to you.

The Glory of Bunga Raya by Keats
Subject: New Malaysian Landmark: The Bowl of Prosperity
What great Pride the Malaysian people are beholden!
The fine detail you put forth in this blog theme is extraordinaire with everything captured in interesting informative pitch.
The plaque transcribing the nation's powerful symbolism is in alignment to the country's highest moral standard and I don't think there's any other country can stand at par with.
I am also drawn to the doctrinal significance of the five petals of the Hibiscus (we call it Gumamela at home in my own country) that really, really awed me with deep respect for your country.
The 5 petals represent the 5 Rukun Negara ( 5 Principles of Nationhood) of Malaysia. They are:
1. Belief in God
2. Loyalty to King and Country
3. Supremacy of the Constitution
4. Rule of Law
5. Mutual Respect and Morality
That strongly speaks of your country's Incorruptible Leadership bringing Stability to your nation as a whole.
Kudos to the Artist Loretta Hui-shan Yang for her relenting passion in designing the inimitable icon of Malaysia: The Glory of Bunga Raya.
May prosperity continues to flow into your beloved country.
Thanks for the visit to my blog. It is much appreciated.

Yes, I have never heard that the history of plane started from a failed flying bicycle by the Wright Brothers. Should I say, I did not read enough. :. I missed this part of visiting the site when I was in Raleigh.
This is great reminder of how the modern jumbo jets cruising the sky every Friday got its humble beginning.
Sometimes in life, someone's ridicule is just the right recipe to propel one's wings to the sky of prosperity called Success.

Subject: Texan Weather
I'm laughing at your rantings. But what a rough life it could be over there. Our summer is much intense than yours. We can pay one cent closer to hell sometimes. This is an arid land where everything turn to charcoal at the strike of a lightning. Storms can take their time and even dance rumba if it requires intermission.
August 17 goodness that is my special day where I'm going to be close to three score. Am not worried. Am still young at heart, who cares? And yes, it's the last of month of our Winter.
By the time you endure cold winter, we are sweltering with extreme mercury explosion. And I don't like it at all.
Just to let you know, I enjoy reading your mini novel.
Have a good night!

A Visit to the Gipper by Mari
Subject: President Reagan
Beautiful and what a stunning account of your visit. This brings tears to my eyes because I followed his Funeral on the TV and I read a book about Nancy Reagan, an unauthorized edition though. I believed the late Pres Reagan was a good man. The grim of Politics and the media did make them sound and looked horrible couple. Great to see a portion of the Berlin Wall. It was no longer there when I went to visit the place in 1991.
No I'm never into any businesses at all. Just very good at exploring unchartered waters, perhaps. :)
I'll feature you in my blog comments.

A beautiful cottage home and the mural almost looks like it is natural. Been a while I haven't visited you. Thanks for the visit. By the way, I wish I can do a hanging garden. But there's no one to ask around to do the nailing on the wall for me. I doubt if we are allowed either. :) Have a safe week, Madam.

The Voice of the Future Translated by JBE
Subject: Poetry: Tinig Ng Darating
Deep and powerful metaphor of hopelessness you have expressed for the future of our motherland. I don't know, but I stopped thinking about that long ago. The political system our country continues to stay in its scrimmage state. No amount of bullets and weapons will remedy the situation. It's a shame that skulls and rotten carcasses, figuratively speaking, have replaced the beauty that once had made us genetically proud of our heritage.

I certainly enjoy viewing your collection of photographs Elizabeth. I was pretty much intrigued of the Seven Hills because it is the suburb in the west where I live.
I'd been to Clarendon in Adelaide in 2008.But I was not able to go to the vineyard for wine tasting which I was hoping to do.
It was without doubt that you were having great time driving around in the bushland and taking pics now and then.
Very delightful memory you have shared with our fellow bloggers all over the world.

Very interesting post! How lovely to see the other parts of the world that are unreachable through the pocket! I think we have that kind of one place turning into a shopping-arts conglomerate.
As to the header photo of my Australia:Quadrat in Focus blog, the continental make-up is due to the old buildings (church) in the background built by European people (the convicts that were transported down here from the north) as per history.
Sydney is famous for its beautiful harbour, coves, bays and lakes and other small pockets of body of waters.

Amusing!!! Oh deer me, the last time I saw a deer was when my baby (the one who recently got married) was barely a year old!
And the last time I fed them (my children) fried venison was 9 years ago. I closed my eyes for the horrendous price (500 grams was A$12.00).
Cute story. I love it!

Nice family sentimentality here Martha.

Your animation of nature to the words of the sage are just as irreversible as those of human-made regrets. Beautifully quipped Sylvia. Just those white clouds alone, they do pop up in the sky like quizzes. We do not know where they came from and we do not know how they are going to end. They recycle in many forms. The countryside is lush and green, beautiful houses, scenic views and wild flowers everywhere. Who knew there are so many pretty back roads all going to tiny Monroe Center?
The brilliance of your vivid and colourful descriptions make this blog as interesting as these ground orchids in their copious bloom. I wouldn't personally mind going by the back road either even if it means I have to walk a long way to get to your destination. But I feel sorry for Kitty why she has to take such nasty stuff.
Hope to see more of your beautiful countryside carpeted with wild flowers and your awesome poetic prowess.

An Accident and It Could Have Been Worse by Kim
Dearest Kim,
You are one of the Admirable Women I met on the blogosphere. With all your heroic effort inspite of your condition, you showed us how to face life with bravery and courageously. With hope and faith...You do make a sound difference to the world.
I want you to visit and please see this through. Do you mind?
In so many ways, you have touched my heart, my soul and you help me all along without you knowing. Though I don't complain, I do have a frail emotion and your fortitude strengthens me.

Once in my life I was out of work, so I became a stay at home Mom. I mostly spent my time volunteering particularly helping in school library (of my children) and the community library. My job of which was to cover books that I am very good at doing.
One day, the Sisters of Charity came with a couple who were new migrant to this country from Eastern Europe. They were looking for a babysitter. I offered help without hesitation and without remuneration in minding their very clever three year old girl just so they could have a good start in their new life down under.
Yes, it's hard work. But I did not see it that way even if the child was quite a handful. I loved her and she was such a playful, tricky and demanding company.
By the time I hit my head on my pillow, I forgot about exhaustion. I have my way of disciplining children without hurting them in words or punishment. At the end of the day, the child would go home with Mom and Dad, leaving me her affection and respect.
I adore that memory. You are one to be praised Kim. Keep up the good spirit which you pass down to us.

Thank you for this award. Gosh! I never realize there is awarding in the blogosphere. But I do appreciate your kind thought of me. Lovely Kim. Thank you again.
By the way, I checked your store and I now have an idea for the future purchase. Meanwhile, let me pass this time first as my daughter is getting married, so it's a bit busy in my end. Thanks for giving me a visit Kim. Have a lovely weekend.

CES: The mind is a very funny thing. It conjures visions and ideas that we try to comprehend and interpret according to our experiences. I am not well. I am in bed recovering from a very bad respiratory infection. I have been to the doctor and the prognosis is very good. But a dream and a comment from two very spiritual people made them stop and listen and tell me, sent me into a state of subdued hysterics (is there such a thing?), ah yes, I call it worry. I ended up with a breathing treatment to alleviate my shortness of breath as I was not getting oxygen from severe congestion. I was worried to go someplace I did not want to go.
Very thought provoking Dream. Sometimes in our state of illness, some weird thoughts do penetrate into our subconscious mind without us really knowing what their meanings are. Perhaps, it is due to a burning temperature that induces our brain to extract fluid of psychic thoughts to serve as 'premonition(?)' that something is going to happen?
My late mother used to tell us that our back, where our respiratory machine is attached has to be taken as equally as important like the other parts of our body.
So watch out that when you sweat, be sure, you do not let it dry on you back skin. Keep it warm all the time during cool days, and let it cool during hot days.
Respiratory sickness can also be due to physical exhaustion, when your body do not get enough rest. Sometimes it is triggered by worries itself. If not, climatic as well. The environment like dust, cigarette smoke, over exposure to aircon also aggravate its cause. Or it could have been due to some germs picked-up from an unknown source.
But worries are one of the primary culprits of all.
Common sense and logic drive me to write this blurb as I find your blog a good Mental Stimulant. It helps me think, think and think...
