Yes, the cake shop sign does look cool!

In 2005, my friend from Raleigh took me to Charlotte. We stopped by at a Cake Shop to buy something for the church afternoon snack which we usually do for fellowship after the service.

The shop was closing for it only operated half a day that day!

Guess what? I virtually bought everything for half the price and the owner gave us lots of goodies for free!

How happy I was! And the brethren were all happy to have them all!

Very cheap!!!!

The Commentator

This is my 16th blog. Two of them are in hiding, safely locked in a secret garden. They contain my unfinished work, writings about my real life which I am not ready to divulge for public scrutiny as yet.

I have friends who kept bombarding me to write. Write what? About my life. Oh, nonsense!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a celebrity or someone of high calibre or importance. I am just nobody romantically linked to my own word affairs.

The trouble with me is, I don't have a stable mood to really write seriously. I am only an extemporaneous, if not, a spontaneous writer.

Why so many blogs? My first or original blog is Parched Paper and the Quill. I took the name Quill after the university magazine we published monthly in Southwestern University to which I was blessed to pass during the Selection Process. I don't know if the panel did not make a mistake, but I was in that group.

They nominated me as the Circulation Manager. My regret is, I did not take one bit of the magazine with me for at least, sentimental reason. You know our culture, we are too sentimental kind of people. Hopelessly nostalgic. Never mind being romantic, that only exists in Barbara Cartland's books.

Why this is so lengthy? That's what I mean being extemporaneous and spontaneous. Writing something without any relevance.

Okay, that's enough jesting.

Now, am going to be serious this time. The purpose of this blog is just plain and simple. I want to keep a journal of my blog comments that I wrote to people's blogs. There are words that I write which to me are too compelling to keep. So I want to put them in my own personal archive. It will save me from digging someone else blog to find what I might remember in the future. My memory sometimes is unreliable. So it's best to be sure that I have my own well of preservation.

In that, I also included the blogger's detail and the background story of their blog that I commented on.

My comments appear in Italics. All the rest are people's information including their profile photos. No, I did not copy the pictures they posted for commentary. They made it clear that they are copyrighted. And that if I need to copy, I must ask permission first. That will take me more time to do my work than what I intended.

The materials (blogs) I published here on the internet are just for safekeeping. One day, I'm still allowed to dream, don't I? One day, I said, I would like to publish some of my works in print. This may sound impossible at the moment, but who knows? We cannot underestimate when the opportunity will come to knock at my door.

Well, I have in fact wasted so many opportunities already. If one will come and it's BIG TIME! I'll surely grab the chance and SEIZE the DAY!
